Reliance Health Gain insurance

Reliance health gain insurance policy is available for individuals as well as for families. The plan covers the hospitalization expenses such as in-patient treatment, day care treatment, and even provides for the daily hospital cash if the stay exceeds for a certain number of days. The plan also covers the domiciliary hospitalization expenses for 3 or more days if the insured is not able to travel to the hospital for treatment. The policy provides reinstatement of sum insured if the sum insured is exhausted during the policy period. In case of exhaustion of the basic sum insured the policy provides for an additional 20% of the base sum insured to be utilized for the treatment of the same claim. The cumulative bonus under the policy is 33.33% of the base sum insured for every claim free year subject to a maximum of 100% of the basic sum insured. In case of claim the bonus would be decreased by the same amount at which it was accumulated i.e.33.33% per year. In case of diagnosis with any of the critical illnesses mentioned the company would waive off the renewal premium for that particular year. The minimum and maximum sum insured under the plan is Rs.3 lakhs and Rs.1 Crore.

Reliance Health Infinity insurance

Reliance health infinity plan is designed to provide enhanced sum insured, longer cover and to cover global hospitalization expenses. The minimum and maximum sum insured under the plan is Rs.3 lakhs and Rs.1 Crore. The policy has a provision for complete refund if the cancellation is made within 90 days of policy issuance, in case of cancellation above 90 days the premium refunded would be on a pro rata basis. The pre and post hospitalization expenses are covered up to 90 days and 180 days. Under the enhanced cover option an extra sum insured would be given to the insured on purchase of any of the sum insured options. For instance on purchase of Rs. 3 Lakhs sum insured cover the company provides an extra sum insured of Rs.1 lakhs making the overall sum insured Rs.4 lakhs. Under the enhanced time period, the company provides cover for extra time period over and above the mentioned time period. For instance, if the premium is paid for 12 months the cover would be valid for 13 months and if the premium is paid for 24 months the cover would be valid for 26 months. The plan also covers the medical expenses incurred for emergency hospitalization and daycare anywhere in the World up to defined sum insured limits.

Health super top up

Super top up insurance plan covers the balance amount payable after the deductible in case of exhaustion of a basic health insurance plan. The minimum and maximum sum insured under the plan is Rs.5 lakhs and Rs.1.3 Crore with the minimum and maximum deductible being Rs.2 Lakhs and Rs.30 Lakhs. The deductible payable is aggregate for long term plans and annual for one year plan. The plan also provides a cumulative bonus of 10% of expiring policy base sum insured, subject to a maximum of 50% of the base sum insured for every claim free policy year.

Healthwise policy

The healthwise policy is the most affordable policy with many benefits such as cost of health checkup, critical illness expenses, organ donor expneses and complimentary benefits such as expenses of accompanying person, local road ambulance, daily hospitalization expense, nursing allowance, one time and lump sum recovery benefit. The plan also covers the hospitalization expenses such as in-patient expenses, day care treatment expenses, pre and post hospitalization medical expenses etc.

Critical illness

The minimum and maximum sum insured under the plan is Rs.3 lakhs and Rs.10 Lakhs. The plan covers 10 critical illnesses which are mentioned in the policy. There is no requirement to undergo medical tests under the policy up to 45 years of age. The plan has a waiting period of 90 days and a survival period of up to 60 days from the date of diagnosis with the critical illness. Critical illness policy can be taken for a period of 1 year or 3 years. The claim under the plan would be made on a lump sum basis in case of diagnosis with any of the 10 critical illnesses mentioned in the policy.
