About The New India Assurance

The New India Assurance company was founded by Sir Dorabji TATA in the year 1919, in Mumbai. Today it became a multi national general insurance company operating in 26 countries with headquarters at Mumbai. Yuva Bharat Health policy

The Yuva Bharat Health insurance policy is aimed to provide cover for the youth of the country with the minimum and maximum entry Age being 18 years and 45 years. There is no pre policy check-up under the policy. The policy also provides cover for hazardous sports which is usually an exclusion under other health insurance policies.

a) The New India Assurance offers premium payment on installment basis. Premiums can be paid on monthly, quarterly or half yearly basis for Arogya Sanjeevani Policy.

Cummulative Bonus

The customer can avail a cummulative Bonus of up to 25% sum insured for every claim free year. The maximum cummulative Bonus that can be availed would be only 50% of the sum insured.

The New India Health insurance Exclusions :

  • Any expenses related to investigation and evaluation for primary diagnosis would not be covered under the policy.
  • Expenses related to surgical treatment of obesity is not covered.
  • Expenses related to Gender change treatments are not covered.


There is a waiting period of up to 4 years for pre existing conditions, up to 2 years for specific illnesses, intial waiting period of 30 days and maternity waiting period up to 2 years.
