Star comprehensive insurance policy

Star comprehensive insurance plan is one in all health insurance plans. The plan doesn't have capping on the room rent. Insured customers can avail treatment at private single AC rooms. The plan also provides care beyond cover with wellness programs such as disease management programmes for healthy life. The plan offers free health checkup for every claim free year. Star comprehensive plan also covers the maternity and newborn baby, the sum insured which is in addition to the base sum insured. Automatic restoration of sum insured up to 100% for subsequent hospitalization even for the illnesses or diseases for which the claim was made. Dental and Ophthalmic expenses can be availed on OPD basis. Sum insured would be increased by 100% for every claim free year.

Star Women Care

Star health insurance has designed a special health insurance plan for women and their families. The minimum and maximum sum insured under this plan is ₹5 lakhs and ₹1 Crore. The policy can be availed on individual basis (only female) or on floater basis (at least one female with spouse and dependent children). The policy offers a lump sum claim payout in case of diagnosis with cancer.

Senior Citizen Red Carpet policy

Star senior citizen health insurance policy is designed to offer health insurance protection to senior citizens in the age group of 60 years to 75 years. The major advantage of this policy is that there is no pre-policy medical checkup. The policy covers pre-existing diseases from second year onwards. The maximum sum insured under this policy is ₹25 lakhs which can be availed on individual as well on floater basis. Medical consultations as an outpatient can be availed in a network hospital. The policy guarantees constant premium with lifetime renewals.

Family Health Optima

This is a family floater policy designed to cover the family members at affordable premiums. The policy offers air ambulance coverage of up to 10% of the sum insured during the entire policy period. Pre and post hospitalization expenses are covered up to 60 days and 90 days respectively. The policy covers the organ donor expenses up to 10% of the sum insured or ₹1 lakh whichever is lower. The plan reimburses the transportation expenses by air incurred up to ₹5000 for one immediate family member for travel to the hospital where the insured is admitted. The plan would reimburse the medical expenses incurred on assisted reproduction treatment where indicated for subfertility. The plan provides for automatic restoration of sum insured up to 3 times at 100% each time during the policy period. The restoration would be done only after the exhaustion of the earlier one.

Health insurance for 50+

Star health insurance has launched health insurance cover for customers aged above 50. The minimum and maximum sum insured under the policy is ₹10 lakhs and ₹1 Crore. The plan also offers a wellness discount of 10% which can be redeemed at the time of renewal. A cumulative bonus of 20% increase in base sum insured can be availed for every claim free year subject to a maximum of 100% of the base sum insured. Air ambulance is covered up to ₹2.5 lakhs per hospitalization subject to a maximum of ₹5 lakhs per policy year. The plan covers the hospitalization expenses incurred for bariatric surgery and its complications arising thereof are payable up to the limits under the policy.

Star Criticare Plus

Star criticare health insurance plan is designed to cover 9 specified critical illnesses mentioned under the policy. The company pays a lump sum amount on diagnosis with any of the 9 mentioned critical illnesses. The plan also covers the regular hospitalization in addition to the critical illness. The plan also covers for the non allopathic treatments up to the sum insured mentioned under the policy. Pre hospitalization expenses are paid up to 30 days prior to the admission in the hospital whereas the post hospitalization expenses are paid as a lump sum up to the limit specified.
