Entry Requirements

The minimum entry age for children is 91 days and for adults it is 18 years whereas the maximum entry age for children is 30 years and for adults it is 70 years. For children to be covered under the plan at least one parent should also be covered under the policy.

Cover Type

The policy can be opted on an Individual as well as Family floater basis. In case of family floater all the members of the family will have a single sum insured whereas in case of non floater each member of the family would have a separate sum insured.

Policy Tenure

The policy is available for a period of 1/2/3 years.

Daily cash for shared room occupancy

The company will pay a fixed daily cash amount of Rs.1000 for each day when the insured completes the shared accommodation during a covered hospitalization in any of the network hospitals.

Emergency road transportation

The policy covers the expenses incurred towards the transfer of insured persons from the place of accident or injury to the hospital in a road ambulance for emergency medical contribution. The maximum limit under this section would be the basic sum insured mentioned under the policy.

AYUSH

The company covers the medical expenses incurred by the insured towards alternative treatment such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy with the maximum limit being the basic sum insured under the policy.

Domiciliary hospitalization

Navi health insurance covers the medical expenses incurred on the domiciliary hospitalization of the insured person due to an illness or accident, for at least 3 consecutive days while confined at home. The maximum limit under this section would be the basic sum insured under the policy. The treating doctor or the medical practitioner should provide in writing the need for domiciliary hospitalization of the insured for the insurance company to provide the benefit.

Cumulative Bonus or No Claim Bonus

The company would provide the cumulative bonus or the no claim bonus for every claim free year. The cumulative bonus would range from 25% of the base sum insured to 50% of the base sum insured per year and the maximum no claim bonus that can be obtained would not exceed 150% of the base sum insured under the policy. In case of a claim reducing the base sum insured the no claim bonus would also reduce at the same rate at which it is accrued.

Additional sum insured for inpatient treatment for accidental injury

An additional sum insured of 100% of the base sum insured would be given to the insured in case of inpatient hospitalization due to an accidental injury caused due to a road traffic accident.

Automatic restoration of base sum insured

The base sum insured would be reinstated automatically for an unlimited number of times during the policy period in case of exhaustion of the base sum insured. The base sum insured would be restored up to 100% of the base sum insured under this section.

Maternity expenses

Navi health insurance plan provides medical expenses up to Rs. 30k towards the delivery of child or lawful termination of pregnancy up to a maximum of 2 deliveries or terminations during the lifetime of the insured person. In addition to the maternity expenses the policy also provides the newborn child care expenses up to Rs.10,000 for the inpatient care of the newborn up to 90 days of the birth.

Air Ambulance

The policy pays up to Rs.5 lakhs towards the transfer of the insured person having an emergency medical condition to the nearest hospital with adequate emergency facilities.

Outpatient benefit

The policy provides consultation fees incurred by the insured person for a consultation with the medical practitioner and the expenses incurred towards the diagnostic tests for up to Rs.5000 for each insured person.
