The shift from managing people to releasing their energy.
The biggest leadership shift of this decade isn’t a new tool. It’s a change in the question people leaders are asked to answer.
For years, the people function has been measured on compliance, process, and cost control — necessary work, but rarely the work that decides whether an organisation thrives. The leaders who will define the next decade are the ones learning to treat human energy as the thing they manage: attention, motivation, belonging, and the will to keep going when work gets hard.
This workshop makes the case that benefits and culture aren’t a “soft” line item — they’re an operating system. It gives people leaders a way to name what’s draining their teams, and a structured approach to design for energy instead of just administering for compliance.
Retention pressure
Good people are harder to keep, and the cost of replacing them keeps climbing. The usual levers feel exhausted.
Quiet disengagement
Teams are tired. People are present but not pulling — and the symptoms are hard to put a number on.
Stalled momentum
Process has crowded out energy. The organisation feels slower than it should, and harder to move.
What HR and people leaders take away.
This is built to be practical. You leave with a vocabulary for what energises and what drains your teams, a structure for designing around it, and a clearer way to make the business case to your own leadership — without leaning on perks or platitudes.
It’s designed for HR leaders, founders, and CEOs who already believe culture is strategic and want a working method, not a motivational talk.
- A working framework, not theoryA structured way to think about freedom, learning, belonging, and resilience as design inputs — something you can use the following Monday.
- Language for the business caseA clearer way to articulate the cost of disengagement and the upside of designing for energy, in terms your leadership will recognise.
- A toolkit you keepPractical activities and prompts to take back to your team.
- Yours to revisitBecause it’s on video, you can come back to a section before a planning cycle, or point a colleague to the part that’s relevant to them.

Why we made this.

We didn’t come to this through a textbook. We came to it building Ethika — facing the same questions every people leader faces: how do you keep a team motivated, build a culture worth staying for, and do it without pretending the numbers don’t matter?
What we found wasn’t a set of HR tactics. It was a simpler truth: when you solve for your people’s energy, a lot of the business solves itself. We put the working version of that on film so any people leader can watch it on their own time — shared honestly, with the parts that didn’t work left in.
